A considerable amount of pressure has impacted the healthcare field. Professional healthcare providers are asked to do more with less. As a result, the professional caregiver experiences an imbalance between work and life outside of work which may take the form of work overload, anxiety, depression, illness and ultimately burnout. The good news is that effective strategies may be used to reduce, manage and even prevent compassion fatigue. Participants will learn how to identify compassion fatigue, its causes and various forms. Participants will learn strategies to use to lower their risk of developing compassion fatigue and instead develop resiliency to remain engaged and, energetic and whole.
